Power Tailgate Issues
2017 F350 with power down tailgate will not open. I have tried remote, dash and tailgate button none work but the little light near the camera comes on when I press a button so the gat is getting some signal. This is the crazy thing, when I open my driver door the gate actuates and comes down. It is being triggered by the interior light. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. I have checked the wiring harness and all plugs in the gate, cleaned terminals and dielectric grease. No change

Have You checked the ground on the tailgate circuit ??
I believe the courtesy lights are a switched ground and
the tailgate may be back feeding thru it .. Don't ask Me
how just one of lifes little mysteries .. Switched ground
circuits are a pita to work on ..
