I do see the date on your battery... The auto parts store can get you new battery cables, or even Walmart may have them when you get a good battery there. My Battery is a 124R, plenty of juice.

You're welcome. Before I installed that one, I asked the experts here about how much battery I could install. I chose this one because of its numbers. Better then stock.
You can use whatever battery fits in the space, this one had more power.

The OP doesn't have the original battery hold down like you do Max. You are limited on length by the battery tray and width by the hold down hardware. I wouldn't drive around without securing the battery. Too many round abouts these days. Nothing stays in place anymore. Most battery sales websites will show you direct fit batteries. Many offer several levels of CCA. If you drive alot a normal sized battery is good. If infrequent driving then maybe get a larger capacity battery.
All you have to do is put your meter leads like the picture below, hold them on there while you get your wife or girlfriend to crank the truck over. Once you get the meter setup like the picture below, you will most likely see 12v or so on the meter. Once you get that, tell them to try and start the truck WHILE YOU ARE STILL HOLDING THE METER AT THE SAME SPOTS. If the voltage drops to zero, you do have a battery connection problem or a bad battery. If it stays at 12v then we need to do some more testing.
