Some ***** shot mine out w a .177 air rifle Easter weekend a few years back, I get your pain.
Anyway, I would bet money they are the same...seems silly for Ford to have two sets of glass around. As I recall you have to pull the smoke window to R&R the main, it is not hard just a tad of thinking as doing it.
The factory glass install into the metal channel is done with a glass setting tape and is available in different thicknesses at places like Dennis Carpenter but this stuff sometimes comes undone with lots of use so I use clear silicone to "glue" the glass into the metal channel for a longer lasting repair that you will never see.
I just had a rock through the passenger side- bounced off the mirror, completely shattered the glass. Just a little dent in the mirror.
So yes, you loosen the vent window frame (it's held on with a bolt at the bottom and a (couple of?) sheet metal screws through the door frame.
You don't have to pull it all the way out- just tilt it back at a bit of an angle, and then the glass has enough room to come out of the channel.
But you'll figure all that out when you disassemble the parts truck.
This is the best thing about the pull-yer-part places- you can practice on a junkyard truck, and if you get it wrong, there's another to try again with!
I have a dedicated windshield guy, I shoot him up with all my truck and expedition windows. I would ask a mechanic like his as they always have some just laying around or could find a good deal nearby.
