If it's a running engine, you just need to see about a new water pump and if the clutch works with your trans. I do not remember if the FTs have a larger pilot bearing?
DIF 45 on block near oil filter
There is a simbel on the heads and intake that looks like a C with an F in it
Since no one addressed this part of your question for you, what you're describing here are foundry marks, identification of the location of casting. DIF is Dearborn Iron Foundry, so your block was cast in Dearborn. The C with the F in it is Cleveland Foundry, which indicates your heads and intake were cast in Cleveland.

Great information I did check the oil pump drive and the hex shaft is .25 that combined with the stroke has me now thinking it actually is a 1964 330. If there is anything I could check? the guy that sold it to me said it was a 361 but also said he was not sure as he pulled it from a 73 f-350. I wanted to be sure before I started refurbishing it. looks clean inside and he did say it was running good when he pulled it a couple of years ago (stored inside since then)
It would not be unusual to find an FE or FT engine rebuilt with different heads and manifolds, crankshafts, everything. For the most part, it all interchanges, especially the FE and 330MD.
