428cj Intake
I have a68 shelby Mustang with a 428cj ? . The intake has me confused it is aluminum with no casting marks but it is a dual plane manifold with a hole at the back almost as large as the dist. opening on the front and it is offset the other way (almost as though the manifold could be turned around) a plate with two screws covers this hole. Is it a med . riser off a 427 or marine or does anyone have any ideas?

there are no casting #s at all, no names absolutely nothing cast into the manifold to suggest who made it or what engine it was originally designed for , I thought the rear hole might have been for a breather but I had a med high riser 427 with dual 4s and there was no breather and of course all the usual Ford casting marks.
