Tranny problems
I have a 5R110W tranny. It started to not shift from 3rd to 4th gear. I changes fluid, all solenoids and TCM. Still not shifting correctly. Since I did all of that, I have no codes either now. The tow/haul light flashes and I cannot figure it out.

Any ideas?

Read the codes. You have codes, you just don't have the right tool to read them.

Get Forscan free at www.forscan.org. Their page shows how to select an OBDII adapter to plug in the OBDII port.

The code before all my work I did was the shift solenoid D stick. That is what made do all the work. But I will look into that website. Thanks.

TCM- P0706-FF Solenoid D Stuck or Short
TCM- P2703-FF D Friction Plate

I am taking it into the Tranny shop this week. Friction plate is something I am NOT able to do at home of do I know transmission that well! We shall see.

P3703 almost certainly set because of the P0706 code. When the solenoid code sets the frictions can't apply so that code sets.

It could be a bad solenoid D or a short in the wiring to solenoid D.

I changed ALL solenoids this weekend. I also changed the TCM and the TTS in my truck too. Still getting the flashing tow haul light and will not go into 4th gear. That is why I am going to the shop next.

Yes. That is why I am taking it into the shop. I do not do electrical. I have tried but I am stupid with it. Laugh if you want but I SUCK at it.
