Okay, I will admit it, I’m new to the diesel world. I just picked up a 2000 F350 with the 7.3, and I’m full of questions about how things work vs gas engines.
but I noticed an electrical connection under the hood that I have no idea why it’s there. There appears to be nothing external that explains the random placement of this.

So, after 45 years of driving and seeing various lights under the hood I’ve never seen a light look like that. But, google shows me that is exactly what that is, minus the lightbulb.
sorry for the newb question, but this style I have never seen and without the bulb in place my mind could not allow that was it.
