Prove God Exists.
So, did anyone prove anything yet?

I dunno Willowbill3, I think there may be some merit to this example from 1956MarkII.
Perhaps you shouldn't be so closed minded?
So now I am closed minded because I see no need for people to be getting ugly with each other? If disagreeing with rude behavior gets me labeled closed minded then so be it.
There are many things I don't understand that benefit me and my loved ones.
I approach it like this, first I love GOD. Second if there is not a God then when I die then I just died, period. Done. If I didn't believe and when I die then find out God exists, what a horrible choice I have made for the rest of my eternity. Why take the chance? If God doesn't exist then people will remember me for trying to live a good life and wanting the same for others. By believing and following I am claiming a wonderful eternity in heaven. It seems like a no-brainer for me.
You other christians out there how did I do?

. . . My goodness you must have very sore toes from this thread. I apologize for my comment being easily misconstrued into a negative thing - it was inteded to make you smile.
Fuzzy.
Well it seems to be back at a civil level again.

If we could prove God exists then we would not have free will to exercise faith.[quote]
Why? Al Gore exists for sure and I can certainly choose not to follow him, but Barney the Dinosaur instead.
Oh, and faith, when fact could be had, is NOT usually a good thing either.
Many of us rely on an alarm clock to get us up in the morning but the night before we can't prove it will go off, but we know it will. That is faith. We can't prove why electricity, magnetism, or wind force works but we count on it to do it's job. That's faith.
I trust my alarm clock to get me up because it is a tangible item that is mechanical in nature. Faith it will work, is built on TANGIBLE EVIDENCE and PROVEN HISTORY.

This I can't "argue" with.

Respectfully.

My alarm clock going off in the morning is not faith either. It was made with American know-how, with years of proven reliable microchip technology inside. That's a reliance on science, on the proven.
Why would God want us to doubt His existence? Why would it be important to him that we could use our free will to choose not to believe in him? What loving father chooses to allow his children to wonder whether he really cares or will discipline them if they get out of line or allows them to hurt themselves when he could easily prevent it? If this is the reality, that's some sick kind of love.
I agree though, why not make it known and proveble that he exists. Then being given a choice of either following him or be burned in hell for eternity. It it was proved that god did exist and I would burn for eternity if I didn't follow, I would be the first in line.
Have you seen Bruce Almighty? when when Bruce as God how do you make osomeone love you without messing with free will? Gods answer, "If you find out how, let ME know." I like that I think it makes sense when you look at it.
