Well I pulled my dash cluster apart and found my speedo needle broken off at the base where it widens out on the triangle piece. Not sure how it happened but looking for another needle to press onto the pin or am I wasting my time and just have to replace the speedo unit. It's a like new cluster and clean so not sure what happened. Seems odd to me it would break off.
The stem is below the face. Any chance it could be repaired with a drop of epoxy or soldered? You would have to be careful not to overheat the stem with solder.
You might check with someplace like Sothern Electronics that does speedometer repair. They might have a source for needles.
Jb-Weld A piece of orange painted sheet metal (kinda like a traffic sign ) or a orange painted toothpick onto the broken stub of the old needle.
If you do it right nobody will ever notice.

well I called the shop that rebuilds them and the guy won't be back till tomorrow so I'll see what he has to say for a replacement needle. Maybe find a junk one that I can salvage the needle from.
