Since then I put 4 injectors a Hpop rebuilt the oil rail cleaned and put all new Orings in the turbo a new oem wiring harness a new ficm and here are my codes with to much back pressure that keep blowing my cac hoses off these are all PO codes 069,405,472,2104.2127,2132,2138,2139,2285 please help I have been under this hood for four months

P2285 will happen when you try to start with an unplugged ICP.

The other codes indicate a short in the v-reference circuit. Could be the EBP sensor itself, or in the wiring somewhere.

I would start by unplugging the EBP sensor (since this test id free and easy) and see if it will start and run (you can run the truck that way for a reasonable troubleshooting distance).

If that doesn't do it, start looking for wiring damage and electrical shorts. Start by looking at the main engine harness - specifically in the area under the air intake tube.

Take pics and post them of what you find during your work looking at the harness.

Admin - can you move this thread to the 6,0L section please.

Sounds like you're building too much boost, not sure it's being commanded. I had that happen on my first 6.0, but mine the issue was the unison ring froze up so it was building boost 100% of the time. Your issue definitely sounds more electrical, if your mechanic pinched some wires while doing something that could be the issue.

I put a new OEM harness on it unless I damage it taking the turbo on and off so many times thinking I just was indexing it right plus I put a different compressor blade and a different exhaust blade in it and I took out each one thinking they were the problem. I have a new EBP sensor coming today. It’s funny the harness that I took out had all kinds of damage to it so many wires that had become bare and I didn’t get the codes that I’m getting now. This truck sat from 2017 until 2023 when they fixed it to sell it and I was the sucker who bought it. And I’m no diesel mechanic oh boy am I learning I now have an over the engine creeper a tire step. I’m also waiting on some other thing for the electrical that will be here tomorrow and I will give you guys an update on what I find. This time when I get it running I’m taking to a friends place and we’re pulling the cab so I can really get to some thing to check

Ok let me tell you how I fixed it. New EBP sensor and a bottle of Stabilant 22 and painted every connection under my hood every connection. The stuff is expensive but when it comes to electrical connections it’s magic in a bottle.
