Ford Excursion lift?

Hello, I'm new here, and I'm from the Czech Republic I have a question for you, a request for advice... Some Friday, I have a lift on the car with 3" front and 4" rear leaf springs and shock absorbers, of course it's already a sight to behold 😂 I have currently boiled the whole car and am preparing it for spraying with Raptor 🤟🏻 My question is: there are left rear pads under the leaves with calipers (3") and so I think I would buy 3" further forward... And now to make it make sense and work... 🤷🏻 I think it would require extended front brake hoses and the same for the rear, then probably a lowered steering lever,... I'm not sure about the *******, or longer front stabilizer bars... What do you think, does it make sense to solve this or buy a complete set of chassis and replace it again? Thank you in advance for reading this far and possibly for your answer 🙏🏻😅 Thanks Martin's

Welcome to the EX forum Martin!

I think that the 3” pads under the springs are the lift blocks? Metal block between springs and axle.
So yes, with 3 inches front and 4 inches rear of lift you should look to get a set of longer brake hoses.
The “steering lever” would be the pitman arm and with only 3 to 4 inches of lift the stock factory arm should be fine, an adjustable track bar (or panhard bar) will help to keep the front axle centered under the car.
Extended length stabilizer bar end links will work to keep the bar ends level with the ground.
Your English is much, much better than my Czech!

hi, my english is very bad, but uncle google translator will help. 😅 but the point is that now i have a 3" front and 4" rear complete set of chassis, leaf springs and shock absorbers on my vehicle and now i would like to add 3" each in the front and at the back of the pad, so the front would be a total of 6" and the rear would be 7", now the question is whether it will work 🫣

It really depends on the type of additional lift used. DO NOT use lift blocks on the front axle, it is unsafe and potentially dangerous as it can cause too much leverage on the suspension and can break things or cause loss of control. A “mini pack” of several short sections of spring material stacked together is a little better and will raise the ride height but does not increase the amount of suspension travel. The best setup would be an “all spring” lift as that would increase the ride height and the suspension travel.
Going to a total of 6” on the front suspension will require both a dropped (longer) pitman arm and a new matched dropped track bar (panhard bar) mount. These need to be matched up to keep the track bar and drag link parallel to prevent bump steer issues.

Hello,

oh, so if I understand correctly, instead of using blocks, it is better to use, for example:
https://www.amazon.com/…3NR https://www.amazon.com/…3NR
xAt4j-Si4Os07XNmNJnP1_f17Q3b6LdoBKHPnuoVtBWaQpdoeJPvC5vb uGYyXkkHKaJB86rG6KYU0RMeJIV2UImPhYBAXzUoi2-KzFea4uI4mr6fzUTPv_Ge47brZzSVkkrzLTfAOPSICGM8dyHks bATqesjkp1Mj_nqk.AY pBXft5zAET7NO0WtKxvnnR3hMo3mq0W9uok0hMuf8&dib_tag= se&keywords=3% 22+Front+Lift+ford+f250&qid=1714102168&sprefix=3+f ront+lift+ford+f250%2Caps%2C250&sr=8-7-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1

I understand it well?

It's clear to me that the whole chassis is the whole chassis, but I'm a little sorry to change the whole chassis again after such a short time..

Unfortunately, when any goods arrive in the Czech Republic from, for example, the USA or Canada, the price is about 3 times higher, for heavy and bulky items it is even more,,, and how many times the shipping is higher than the price of the parts.
