Anyone have experience with gooseball version or rail version. Wondering about clearances of bed rails and pin box. My Andersen has hit my tonneau rails a couple times. I am about 8" offset.
I've never used it. My first question is does it allow side to side tilt. If it does not, it would be absolutely miserable as the camper would transmit body lean (from side to side) to the truck. It would also be difficult to connect on uneven ground.
I can't believe anyone would create a hitch without side to side tilt but this one does not look like it has any.
I have around 1500 miles of towing a 35’ Rockwood with the Curt Crosswing. Average trip to lake is 160 miles round trip. I absolutely love this thing. Yes it has side to side movement. I have the rail version and on my F250 shortbed I have about 7.5 inches of bed rail clearance level, I use the turning point feature on my pin box ( curt makes a special plate to allow turning point to be used with the Crosswing ) and I have had a great experience with this hitch. Easy to hitch, no worries about high hooks or jumping the fifth wheel. This thing is crazy easy to use. Best investment in my rig to date.

Glad you like it. I just ordered the Gen Y 4.5 gooseneck and 5" gooseball offset. Got chains and new bolts. Sold my Andersen for 400 so helps offset some of the cost. Should be here this week.
