Hi I'm trying to identify a rear axle in my 1980 f250 I have the door code B5 and tag from the rear 3 33 EOTA UD 603943-5 L S i have tried using Dana's aftermarket media site to identify it it pulls up a catalog for dana Spicer rear ends but I can't download the catalog to look I need help figuring out what rear axle I have so I can put bearing and seals in it I took pictures of all the codes and numbers I could find hoping that would help
Thats what i thought it was but someone was telling me that they thought it was a posi lock rear end so i was trying to make sure is this to correct way to reply on here this is my first post
Different manufacturers had different names for it. It's simply clutches that put pressure on the spider gears to resist them turning independently. All the factory ones back then had clutches that slipped. The aftermarket had positive lockers and air lockers.

OK thank you a few follow up questions us there any good links to videos showing how to pull the axles out this is my first truck and and I'm restoring it after the guy I got it from let it sit 5 years i dont know very much about it and how do I do a normal reply or do I have to quote every time

Do you have a full floater or a semi-float? I do not know if the 5300lb is a semi or full float axle. The full float will have a piece sticking out in the middle where the brake drum is with little bolts all around it. A semi-float will not have this protrusion in the middle and just be flat like a car rear axle.
