I just got my 2024 F350 and it has BLIS with trailer but it appears that it needs a special sensor to work with my 5th wheel. It came with a part KC3T—14G621AD kit which is a YAW sensor that is for the pro back up. I ordered the 5th wheel prep kit therefore I have the pin adapter already installed that I need.
All I can find on the internet is that I need to order a sensor part PC3Z-14D453-A for $594
and I also need to order the trailer tire pressure monitors ( I don’t understand why) part PC3Z-1A189 for another $359.
Maybe I need another YAW sensor but I’m not sure since I already have one.
Has anybody done this yet? If so what did you need and where do these trailer sensors install and how do they comunícate with the BLIS?
BLIS is built into the taillights, no trailer sensor needed, but it only works up to a certain trailer length, 30 feet back from the taillight I believe.
TPMS kit would only be needed if you have the trailer TPMS option, and that kit should have come with the truck if that is the case.
It appears that the 30ft is only for conventional trailers. As soon as I put in that it is a 5th wheel it says that the sensor is not found. The owners manual confirms that as well. I am not sure why but maybe it is because with a 5 th wheel or goose neck the trailer is closer to the tail light and since the trailer is wider than the tail lights maybe it blocks the sensors? Who knows?

I think that’s the reason. And it’s one of the reasons I didn’t add BLIS when I ordered my truck. The cost of replacement taillight assemblies was another… Anyway, I pull a 36’ 5th and with my mirrors extended have no trouble seeing well enough down the sides for safe lane changes.
My 5th wheel is 33ft and I did not have Bliss on my F250 and the same thing, with mirrors extended I could see fine.
I don’t think I want to spend $1000 plus now for the kits.
There are a lot of neat features on newer trucks that don't work in practicality.
FIL's '22 F250 had the BLIS and the yaw sensor for backing trailers. We never used them. When we started looking into how they worked, and found they didn't work with fifth wheels and that you had to set up every trailer, we just...didn't bother. Too much work.
Turn your head, learn to use your mirrors, and try to always have someone around who can at least tell you if you're getting close in your blind spot, and you'll be just fine. My wife and I have put our various campers through the years into places most people can't even attempt with no issues.
I'm also not a fan of the backup camera on the trailer, I think it's being sold as a solution to a problem that is really only solved with practice - I watched a guy try for 20 minutes to park a trailer using the camera before he got frustrated and just pulled away. I was sitting and waiting to go past him to our camp site, so maybe that had something to do with his frustration - but I probably added to it because by the time he came back around (15 minutes later maybe?) we were already unhooked and setting up the trailer on a site with more stuff in the way that was really too small for our trailer anyway.
34' 5'r. Whether or not I extend my mirrors, I see just peachy. When I started out I was freakin' out about visibility. I even have a rear view camera. It took me about two day driving to realize I can see just find for turns, lane changes, gas stations etc. Though, the rear view camera has the markings that show me green, yellow and red zones. I use those for passing on the left, then pulling into the right lane. I know I'm for sure clear of the vehicle being passed and can safely get back over to the right.
I also use a non Ford rear camera/monitor for our fifth wheel. It came with a Furrion as an option. I use it mainly for passing and to see what's coming up behind me. Works very well. I also have the Ford trailer camera with the back up system. I tried it a few times and gave up. I'm thinking about just removing it since I mainly use the Furrion when backing up to watch for any obstructions. I put a second camera for the Furrion in the bed of my truck which lets me line up my Reese Goose Box on the fifth wheel directly over the ball, every time.
I have the bed camera also. It is great. I’m 70 years old and not so flexible anymore. With the bed camera, I don’t even have to turn around. I could lineup perfectly.I also have a Furion back up camera but have never used it. I bought my fifth wheel a year ago and the camera was not working from day one. It was not getting any power I did not want to give the fifth wheel up for them to fix it so I went without it, but it is working now and I will try it the next time I go out.
When Ford released the new 2023 MY truck, it was featured with 360* trailer camera with BLIS. Two years later Ford has still not produced the Camera Blis kit. It includes cameras for the trailer as well as two sensors mounted to the trailer, but is so far made of unobtainium.

The sensor kit for Blis shows in stock everywhere. There appear to be 2 kits, one for vehicles with yaw sensor, that's the part# the OP posted, and another for those without. But as the OP mentioned, the sensor kit requires the use of the TPMS kit as well, so the total investment to have Blis with a 5th wheel/gooseneck trailer is around $1k.
The camera kit sounds like it might be yet another seperate kit.

Remember the big reveal where they touted the 360* trailer cameras so you can see all around the trailer? That kit has yet to be released, but they claimed it included BLIS too, so guess just have to wait and see if they actually do release the full 360 kit. Funny thing is the videos describing it from that release launch can't be found.

My research before ordering was that the sensor kit with the part number you listed and trailer tpms were required for blind spot monitoring of a gooseneck or 5th wheel. I ordered my 450 with trailer tpms in preparation. This is the listing for the sensor kit on fords accessory site. I have not found install documentation.
