Onboard Scales Question

I just installed air-lift bags on my '23 KR 6.7 H.O. Will this change the readings of the on board scales? This is my 5th SD F350 diesel and I've not ever had to put bags on any of my previous trucks, but this one is on the overload springs with far less weight. The bags fixed that problem, plus not getting brights flashed at me when on low beams and towing. Don't get me wrong, this truck is amazing and so much better than previous generations in my opinion.

If it’s measuring deflection, by having the airbags lifting the rear end I believe it will read low. You might be able to get away with loading with the air at 0, read the weight, then air up.

After putting my Air Lift bags on, my onboard scales didn't work, or at least didn't give accurate weights, with any air in the bags. When I completely deflated them just to test this theory, they were closer to accurate, but the resistance of the deflated bag still altered the results.

"onboard scales" is a bit of a misnomer; there are no actual scales, AFAIK the truck just measures how much the suspension sags and does a rough calculation from there - anything that would change the ride height would render the "scales" useless.
