Parking Brake Cable

Anyone know why my rear cables look bunched up like this? Just installed them new today and I know they’re the right part number. Truck hasnt had a PBrake hooked up in awhile and the shoes are all seized up so not sure if that has anything to do with it. But I dont think this spring should be bent like this. Seems like too big a spring. Both sides the same.

I'm not near my truck to look for you but that looks normal to me. If you grab and rotate the spring it may sit straighter for you but it should be fine as is.
