Hey guys! I bought a 1995 F-150 in December and I want to do some cosmetic upgrades but I don't know the best brands/products to use. If you guys could help me out that would be great! I was planning on getting new headlights, tail lights, the whole works... but I'm wondering if i can just clean the fog out of the cover?? This is what the headlights look like...
Any suggestions or advice would be awesome!
I sanded mine with 400 then 800 grit paper and used adhesion promotor and 2 part clear coat. It's been 2 years. They still look ok, but not like day one. Before
The hell if I can remember what brand it was (I think it might of been 3M) but I sanded down the headlights on my bosses work truck that has spent most it's life outside since brand new and it worked pretty damn good. I will add a picture shortly when I find it. That was half way through being done. They were yellow and foggy when I started so just half way through and I was getting great results.
I just bought some Lumen clear assemblies, I'm still trying to get rid of the OEM ones.
I like em
Do your OEM ones have the chrome trim around them? I have a replacement passenger side for my truck, with the chrome trim, but I'm looking for a driver's side.
If you have a chance, message me if you want to sell one. Although shipping from Washington State might be expensive.
I have found that polishing the crap out of the plastic headlight lenses is not cost effective
I can replace them cheaper and they last long enough to not be a pain in the ying yang for my clients

I bought a set of TYC headlights for the ‘89 and they were garbage. They felt lightweight and flimsy compared to OEM and the adjusters didn’t work so they went on the shelf. I got a good set of used OEM from the junkyard and cleaned them up.

MIne are definitely not as thick as OEM, but the looks are worth it. And they are still quite tough, and actually more resistant to shattering (not as brittle as OEM)
