Mystery plug identification

Hello, all. 1994 F-350 crew cab dually with the 460. There is a plug just in front of the battery that I can’t identify readily. Does anyone know what this is for?

Can you post a better picture of the wire colors? They're not real clear on my end.

Is there a similar plug on the drivers side? Maybe for the front crash/air bag sensors?

That's exactly what it is.

Cheaper to throw wiring for all the options in the harness than to get some UAW mouth breathers to track and extra few part numbers.

That’s interesting. Thanks for that explanation. Seems rather archaic compared to sensors, and locations in today’s vehicles, of course.

Especially when those air bag wire terminal connectors are gold plated
We always figured the bean counters were in charge at Ford
Seeing as there is very little grease in a hub or wheel bearing these days
I agree about the UAW mouth breathers in Detroit
Quality is still job 1 right?
