90 f350 7.3idi cluster. I'm trying to track down a short somewhere on the temp guage wiring. Long story short I don't think it's the wire itself because (with a multimeter) it's not connected to ground. I unplugged both sides of wire and tried to test resistance to ground and got nothing. But I tested the cluster. When I look for resistance and the cluster between the signal for the temp guage and any ground on the printed circuit, it show 000 for resistance. Is that normal or is there a short in my cluster?
Somewhere I have a short and the temp sensor was showing hot. I ran a complete new wire from the cluster to the sensor and now it's not reading anything
