Lazy installers Linex-bedrug Etc
Perhaps I am alone but I much prefer to handle all my own work normally only leaving work to others when unique tools are in play.
I have always gone with Line-x in my beds and expected them to remove the bed bolts and brackets as part of the prep. If I wanted a spray and pray job I would have got the factory tough bed.
Recently I have noticed a number of aftermarket spray in have not removed the bed bolts and sprayed over them as well as tape off box link plates rather than remover them
. I had a local shop install a bedrug and a BakSX4S after I found I could not get a break in the weather so I paid for the service. They installed the full bedrug (sides and bottom) but I was amazed they did not remove the box link hardware or the corner clamps before laying in the rug. The cut slots to access those. I cam home and removed them and reset them outside the bedrug the way I believe they should be. But what the hell. Am I the only one finding these aftermarket truck stores taking shortcuts?
They got the job done but then I expected a more professional approach.
Thoughts?

I noticed this as well but it was my first spray in bedliner so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had pulled the tie down points already but left the little plastic covers that fill in large holes in the bed. I can understand not pulling the bed mounting bolts since they often break when being removed. I'm not sure what a box link is so I can't comment on those.
