Noise

So, my 2012 Escape, FWD, has been making noises the past 2 months. I have replaced both front and back sway bar links and both inner and outer tie rod ends on both sides. A mechanic replaced just the front lower ball joints. Although it is less noisy now, when I jerk the steering wheel to the left I hear a clunking noise. There is no play in the wheel when I check it. It doesn’t do it when I jerk the wheel to the right. Any thoughts?

Has anyone looked at wheel bearings? . . . including not just the "try to shake it" test, but also by checking for any grease escaping on both sides.
