I've been doing some studies and have learned a few things about this matter. In this new EPA congested world there seems to be a few additives out there for cleaning the DPF as you drive, almost like a preventative measure or boost. My question is, has anyone out there done or been doing this to there trucks? I'm not a fan of snake oils, etc., but is this the next thing coming?
Like I said in the other duplicate thread... the fact that it is a fuel treatment and not a DEF treatment alone is enough for a "Hard No" from me. I ain't screwing up my fuel system.
Same here. I also keep my OCR turned off until I need to perform a regen and normally for me it's about every 650 - 700 miles, at which point it's still only at 90 - 95%. I don't know if the FBC has anything to do with it, but things seem to be going well in this area, so I just continue to do what I am doing. Also, FWIW, the iron levels in my oil samples have remained low, even with the BD FBC used in every tank.

What about the DEF system are you trying to clean? The build up? If that's the case you could use the Peak Platinum DEF. I don't think it removes existing build up but does prevent further build up.
