Bleeping IRS

HI,
I do my own taxes -- Seeing how they gouge me keeps me motivated. So yesterday I wanted to copy the stuff from my spreadsheets onto the 1040 etc. I almost couldn't. I got a message on the first computer about how the form had used full features and they were now disabled -- no editing was possible. Fortunately, I had just signed up for an Adobe 7 day free trial to take care of a minor issue. When I used that computer it all worked. I could have also done it online it would seem.

Issue is that I now have a form that I can't edit -- I don't use Adobe seriously enough to pay $20/month. Yes, I can do it online, but I like to do my taxes away from the invasive internet.

May not really be possible anyway. IR$ wants me to file online and my best option appears to be 'fillable forms' -- forms that you can fill out online ( and only online). bleep!

Just a little rant,

hj

I've been using Turbo tax online for 20 years now. Very intuitive. They ask all the relevant questions, make it super easy to fill out and efile all in one spot both federal and state.

Just be careful that you actually pay the IRS and not the IRS Con that is most likely in your mailbox too.
Uh huh you can most likely count on The USPS to deliver IRS con bills your way also. Make sure all you do
that your are online with the official IRS not the fake one. Double check or triple check UR on the official .gov.
the internet is click bate.

Forms & Instructions | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)
For every Gov web site there are tons of click bate phonies.

Your lucky you get the truth on any forum also.
