Good morning, it seems as though there are less and less 7.3 owners out there and yet I would still take the reliability of a 7.3 compared to a new one, although new is a bit more comfortable .
I have a front passenger window issue where the door switch stopped working but the driver side window switch for the passenger would work, but then if it was "warm" temperature nothing would work. I replaced the passenger switch and still same result. I have a new motor and guiderail assy but was hesitant due to other threads suggesting a faulty groud. Does anyone know where the ground would be?

G900 is located LH Rear of cab is the best I could find in few minutes, however lot of other components also use the same G900 Ground.
There are two splices to a main harness, S233 and S300 before the G900 ...
^^^Outstanding use of a Pilot pen as a pointer. A gazillion points to Griffendor.
As for faulty window switches, sometimnes it is the DS switch that is at fault. The PS switch's power is passed through the DS switch so check the DS switch too.

Thank you, but what are DS and PS switches you referred to please - am I the only one wondering?
Based on your profile indicating you have a 2000 MY (Model Year) truck, below I have pasted a couple of wiring diagrams and details from the FSM (Ford Service Manual).
Another thing to check is the threshold wiring in the drivers door. The wires fatigue over time and start to fail/crack internally.
Trying while swinging the door or flexing the threshold loom can help identify it.
Ironically, my 2000 has a very similar issue that I have been ignoring for about 8 years.
As a unrelated coincidence (aside from also having a 2000 7.3), I worked for Evergreen Helicopters from 2007-2015. Been to MMV a few times.
Wow team, thank you for the great information, I will review and get back to you.
I feel a bit sad because it is likely I will need to upgrade the truck (wife doesn't like driving it, the ride is bumpy and it can be loud) but I would say the level of support from here and the character of people on here far exceeds my expectations. I am looking at trucks other than ford and the biggest regret if I go elsewhere would be losing the support of this site. Thank you
I will check out the info above and let you all know. thanks again.

I second this. After several thousand door operations, the wires bending back and forth every time, they simply fatigue and break. Right inside the boot where the wires come out of the body and go into the door.
Well I should have been more specific, darn it. The PS power mirrors operate, the PS door lock button operates, it is only the power switch. I ordered a new one from amazon, the new switch is lighted and those come on, but no operation. I reviewed the wire looms between the doors PS and DS and nothing noticable there. I did also buy an entire motor and rail replacement and just to be sure I connected the new motor to the electrical connector and it doesn't work, which means - I think that I am not getting power to the motor. I am going to work on the ground which according to the wire diagrams (thank you) seems to be behind the rear driver passenger on the column going up to the rear window. Wish me luck. Keep in mind, it does work (not great) when it is coldish, but not any other time. I was thinking per your suggestions that maybe it is the driver side master switch - any ideas how to test that?
Just ordered a master switch from Amazon now. I was thinking that if it was a ground wouldn't the other functions be inconsistent?

Fix the wires that are broken in the wire loom going to driver door. Ya can thank me later.
Update, well I appreciate all the answers and suggestions and after replacing the PS window switch, the motor and skeleton inside the door, I finally found the issue was related to the DS switch so when I replaced the entire cluster of switches it worked. Thank you all for the quick replies and appreciate the wire diagrams and ideas, thank you.
