Although, I would still classify my use as light to medium and would think the normal version should work.
Hey Mike how many miles did you get out of both sets before they failed? My buddy has a Alumina Duty F350... I am going to look at his rear springs and compare them to mine... I'm curious AF now...

I'm going to shoot them an email about the newer design on the older trucks for schitts and giggles...

Email sent.

I couldn't say how many miles since I didn't record that, but both only last a year or less. I put few miles on my truck, and I could easily say they had less than 5,000 miles on them and probably much less.

I do hear of sulastic failures using the original design...but I gues there are not a lot of folks using the new HD design yet to get a good sense of the fail rate.

I emailed them when I bought my sulastics for my previous truck and they said on the original version 3 to 5 years was normal and to consider this like brake pads ....not possible to make them last for ever.

on the HD's I read somewhere 5 to 7 years.

Yeah, was pretty disappointed, and I followed their installation instructions to a T. The ride was definitely better until they failed. This is why I hope you have much better luck with the newer HD version.

I just looked at their website offerings for my 2014 truck, and they are still only offering the same shackle that failed twice. Looks like they offer a 3 year warranty, and to me, $460 + shipping is a high price for something deemed a replaceable part like brake pads. And, they're a more involved install too.

Yeah, I'd say that's unacceptable and a problem when two sets broke that early on into their use, especially with such a light load... thanks Mike.

the hd versions are a nightmare to install.

I spent 6 hours on Saturday and couldn’t do it…thought they sent me the wrong kit.

so I put everything back together.

then I checked their web site and they had newer instructions with all the secret hand shakes, voodoo dances and chants in strange tounges that you gave to do to get them in and then I got it done in 5 hours.

😂

Sucks that you had to do it twice, but I bet the dances and chants were funny.
