I installed a new KC turbo, riffraff boots all was well for 3000 miles with a dp tuner I could get 28psi boost. yesterday The boost went to 0-5psi no power, lots of black smoke then a loud pop and the drivers side intercooler pipe blew off the lower boot. Reinstalled the boot and ran great. I assumed the clamp was loose and I was loosing boost at the boot. Ran great for 300 miles the next day stared up ran rough black smoke no power no boost. took the pipe off seemed fine reinstalled it and it ran great for another 300 miles. Could I have an intermittent clog in the intercooler? the boost gauge is on the return side after the intercooler, turn seems fine with the pipe off I can take my hand over the outlet and feel lots of boost.
Check all the CAC tube boots, I had one blow off up by the turbo, on the back side, couldn't see it, I don't think you'd have an intermittent clog.. I'm thinking your boot clamps aren't tight and when you hit high boost they're blowing off...
Waste gate? All boots are new and tight could the waste gate be opening
