Driver's Side Door Latch
Hi there everyone,
Been working through trying to sort out why I can't open the door from the inside. So I replaced the interior handle latch assembly, checked the linkages and they are al solid. With the door apart, I can close the door and pull the interior handle all the way and it won't open from the inside. If I grab the linkage by hand and give it an extra 1/8" nudge the latch then functions properly. Looking at it and comparing to my passenger side one it seems like the visible spring on the latch assembly is snapped completely in half so it is not working. I have scoured online and called Dennis Carpenter to see if anyone makes a replacement latch. Has anyone had luck finding a replacement latch or getting the current one repaired/restored? Thanks in advance.

Please forgive my lack of expertise, are you looking for the mechanism that is activated by the interior handle or are you talking about the door latch assembly that latches onto the door striker bolt?
