Well, I shelled out for an el-cheapo aftermarket sliding door handle, and the darned thing flexes so much its 'finger' won't push open the door latch. The inside handle works it fine.
Without the outer handle, I can reach in with my middle finger and open the latch 'by hand' with much effort, but no blood!
Should I go to the JY for a 'real' part, shell out for a new Ford factory part, or do I need to lube up my mechanism to make it work with a lighter touch?
Boneyard for sure, on all parts like this one-aftermarket is all chinese.
Look around for the one that may not have been used in large family,
less wear on sliding door!
