rear window rattle

Team, I have an odd rattle that has recently developed in my 2020 F250 near or w/in the frame of the rear window. I have been trying to see where it is coming from (rear window frame, assembly of the sliding window, components in the seat, etc...) and have not been able to find the origin. It def sounds like a window rattling in a frame but regardless of what i do (put jams in the window), nothing seems to make a difference. the rattle happens when i go uneven ground or bumps. Any feedback/guidance on how to find and stop this would be much appreciated. thanks, Rob

Is it possible that it's not the window but maybe a door rattle? Pretty common with these trucks to have the door rattle on the strike.

Check those plastic roof rails on the top of the outside of the cab, that run down each side of the cab. Both of mine had broken attachment points at the rear of the cab. If they're broken they might be bouncing and tapping against the cab roof, maybe.

I ended up using some 3M double-sided tape to fasten them back down. It's a common issue, and an idiotic way to attach them (as the attachment is behind the rear window glass).

I just went through this on my 2019. I had a driver window rattle (visually the window shook in the track when going over our brick lined road downtown). Part of the original Santa Fe Trail. It was right above my left ear. Ended up needed the stryker adjusted in slightly and it went away. Some say the strykers can't be adjusted, but mine was easily adjusted in 1/16" and that's all it took.

confirmed it was not the rails on the top of the cab. Def something in the cab and it def sounds like a window pane hitting something.

Myself, I *hate* little rattles. It usually boils down to having someone else roaming around the cab while you drive, to pinpoint the source. Good luck!

Little rattles have been one of the biggest disappointments in owning this Super Duty. I haven't been able to track any of them down. Some are more frequent than others.

Most of mine are self-inflicted, I've discovered. Mainly, forgetting that I put loose items in the door pockets, or in the console, lol. Speaking of, I might do to this console what I've done in the past with other consoles and cubbies; line the bare plastic sides with felt. Another item to add to the To-Do List...

None of mine are self inflicted.. because of all the built in rattles in my truck, mine is eerily void of personal belongings. Had a couple rattles basically since new, now 5 years later a few more intermittent rattles have appeared. One of the newer rattles sounds like it's coming from the passenger side rear seat.
