Transfer case
Found a write up on " how to rebuild a BW1356, ok but some things between it and mine aren't matching up. How do I know what I have? It's a 91 Bronco 5.0 automatic transmission is in rebuild shop new motor setting on garage stand and the write up made it look fairly simple. Hah I know I'm old and addled but somethings just aren't kosher. The tag on my Bronco is gold first line is K100 1 1356-53 second line is 141474 FOTA-YA any help out there I even have the shop manual and somethings just aren't covered. Like putting the pump pins back in (spring loaded) so guess what, took apart and pop. Can't seem to get two shift forks lined up and into plate other than that all bearings were replaced even brass sleeve just up against a wall trying to reassemble. Help!!

You do not disassemble the pump or you will be buying another one has been my experience
You may get it back together but it may fail in service, so on a rebuild you always replace the pump
Your tag just says it is a 1356 and the other numbers designate electric shift vs manual etc.
If your pump is brand new and you have it apart, go ahead and try to get the vanes and springs back together
I will check my books, but I do not think there is a disassembly and reassembly procedure for the pump in the books
