River Rat was a nickname of mine back in my early 20's. Where I live now, the river is called the Rogue River..

I don't know if you got your system figured out, but its a positive system. I just bought a crimestopper keyless entry with remote start and installed it over the weekend. I have a 99 powerstroke, and with mine you just have to hook up the two wires for lock and unlock.

any way to get a remote start on a manual tranny? most don't seem compatible.

The problem with a manual tranny is the risk of the truck being in gear when starting. Can not remember who made it, but I saw a switch that could be installed on the linkage to determine if it's in neutral.

Problem solved. Turned out to be reverse polarity. I had it hooked up right with the relays, just wasnt using a heavy enough fuse. Needed a 50 instead of a 30 amp fuse.. 75.00 dollars later, it works great.
Also, Desighntech does make a unit for a manual tranny.. They even have kits for carberated engines..
