My 94.5 cab and chassis needs a new sending unit for the rear fuel tank. The cab and chassis trucks have a different shape fuel tank than pickups that is plastic and I can’t seem to find one.

I have an 83 f350 cab and chassis with a 4.9. Its gas so i dont know if the sending unit is the same. I bought a sending unit for a 25.5 gallon bronco tank, it is very similar. The float is on the wrong side of the pickup tube. I bought brass compression unions at a parts store. Cut the pickup tube past the bend and rejoin with the compression fitting with the float on the correct side. Just make sure the length is right when done.
Mine is still in the truck but here is my slightly rusty spare one.
You are going to have to be creative. There is very little to no aftermarket parts for cab and chassis trucks and ford only has to supply parts for 15 years. Find one that has the same or similar top, then change the rest however it needs to be done. Most likely that is either 5/16 or 3/8 tubing. Check out this one to start, it looks close. https://a-premium.com/product/Rear-D...hoC_e8QAvD_BwE
Just some more info, if it's just the sending unit sensor you need, a Bronco one will work . That's what I was using in my Bronco the past 6 or 7 years after my diesel swap (same gas sending unit sensor, just modified the pickup tube to reach the bottom after removing the fuel pump.) My sending unit sensor just died recently (about 300k on the chassis), so I bought a new sensor and swapped it in. The sensor should be screwed into the sending unit somewhere, then it just plugs into the top of the unit.
