fuel cell question

fuel cell question
i found a good deal on a fuel cell and a sending unit. is there a certian type of sending unit for these trucks or will any unit work? i'm ready to get that unwanted passenger ( gas tank ) out of my cab

You will need a sending unit made for the brand of ( Fuel Cell ) ,and also you will need a sending
unit for a Ford, I have read that the wrong sending unit on a Fuel cell , makes the gauge read
backwards on a Ford !

Personally I like the in cab tank, I have a newer F100 with the other out of cab tanks and they are a PITA to fill. that plastic burp tube in the filler necks never seems to work right. If the truck is leaning even the slightest toward the gas pumps you have to trickle fuel into it. The in cab tank works great.
