Interesting, thanks for the pics. Definitely much, much better protection around the tank, for sure. Makes me wonder if the frames for MY 2017+ can install these, provided the parts are available?

Sure would provide needed protection with offroad use, obviously.

Edit: Wait, are those panels plastic, or steel? Looks like push-pin fasteners?

All steel panels. Both my 21 & 16 have the Fx4 package. 16 has better protection.

Ah, so those are part of the FX4 package, then?

No just the skid plate. The sides aren't connected to the skid plate.

I know what the bracket is good for. The holes matched up with my fuel pump mounting holes. When I installed a gas aux tank in my truck bed, the pump mounted right up to those holes, the bolts went right through. So Ford knew I wanted an aux tank, and knew what pump I would use, and placed that bracket in just the right spot.
