Hello All, Does anyone know if there are alternate steel oil pans that will work on a Ford 302 EFI that came out of a 1998 Explorer? I swapped this engine into my 1954 F-100 and now there is a crack in the forward edge of the deep pan. It looks like there are pans that are supposed to work for an Explorer but this engine is not in that vehicle any more. What I need is a pan where the front of the deep (rear) part of the pan is set back about 1 1/2"-2" (From the stock location) to clear the rear edge of my straight axel. Any suggestions and help is appreciated. Thanks Bob
Maybe a 5.0 Fox Mustang/Crown Vic pan? Those are also dual sump - meaning pump clearance in the shallower front part of the pan, a raised section for the fox chassis crossmember, and oil stored and pump pickup at the rear sump.
