My 22 I did the camper certification and it had the warning that the ride would be stiff. It got me the extra rear leaf overload and rear sway bar I have a 7.3 gas. I did not spec plow but I think 23 the plow/camper certification are combined? My truck rides very firm.

I will likely use a camper - no one at Ford dealerships seems to be able to answer this. In orderof priority for me:
1. Towing
2. Trucek/bed Camper
3. Front hitch for bike racks
4. Plowing
I'm very tempted to get the 250A alternator and dual batteries on a new F250 Lariat SC.
a. I ike the idea o fthe rear 2KW power accessory, although I admit to knowing of few uses for it at present. Among them - running a few select power tools in remote areas, charging up a camper as if on shore power - albeit briefly, and maybe powering a boat trailer winch so I don't need a dedicated batery on the trailer for it. I would presume the engine has to be running in roder for this to even functino - correct? OR does it run until the battery gets to a lew level and then shut off / require an engine start?
b. I may install a serious sound system at some point, music lover here.
c. putting on a plow, but it sounds as if plows will run ok on a singel alternator and battery, with a little light dimming...

It worked this way for years so it's probably not a problem. Be advised that even with dual batteries & alternators, the current draw from raising my plow occasionally causes the radio to cut off and back on again. So there's a possibility you might see this more frequently with a single battery setup. The electrical systems on these newer trucks are sensitive.
I have a swb super cab f350 with plow prep & camper pkg. work tk is lwb, crew cab f250, both 4x4. I can’t detect a ride difference, but plow & camper sits a bit higher.

I have the plow prep and single battery, It usually only does it to me when pushing heavy wet snow uphill and trying to raise my plow. I have heard some people added a capacitor and eliminated it. I bought one and planned to add it last spring but I decided to start tearing my house down to the studs and redoing it from the outside. Then it rained every day so I only got half way around. I will try to wire it before next winter and see if that fixes the issue.
