Time to replace Injectors?

My injector o rings are leaking. I have 250,000 miles on it. Replace the o rings or bite the bullet and replace the injectors. If I replace the injectors do I get stock replacements or do I go to a performance injector. It's a family trip vehicle and we tow an 8000 lb travel trailer. Any advice would be appreciated

No nothing. Just some transmission upgrades when it was rebuilt.

Edit. It's an excursion and I've always wanted a little more power, but I don't want to sacrifice reliability for power.

My initial thoughts were the stage ones and a hydra.

you definitely have the right idea 160/30s, a hydra with tunes, 4” turbo back exhaust, some mods to the turbo so no surge and full set of gauges should give you a nice setup with definitely a noticeable bump in power

In my opinion, I would stay with stock injectors or you’ll find yourself digging into your wallet a lot deeper than just the cost for injectors. If you want more power after your injector change, spend around $600.00 - $1000.00 for a hydra and a cold air intake and possibly a new wheel for the turbo for a few hundred more and I think you’ll be amazed at how much more power you’ll have with these modest mods.

My suggestion would be stock injectors from Rosewood or CNC Fab.

Fresh stock injectors or 160/0, Hydra and tunes, and a KC balanced assembly. This would be a nice way to freshen things up and gain some pep. I would tend to lean towards the 160/0.

Don't get me wrong, I like my 160/0's

But... If I were only towing 8k # I'd stick to stock injectors and the KC turbine & 4+4 in an .84 housing. Much quieter than going bigger turbo and single shots

A couple variations of a 40hp tune is all you'd really need at that point

Once you pass the 10k # mark is really where more power from 160/xx and more ($$) air is needed

If you’re still stock tuned then just adding a Hydra will really make you smile. I would lean towards staying with stock injectors for a few reasons.
1-just a Hydra will rock your world.
2-they’re quieter and this is your family Excursion.
3-stock injectors use the free library of Hydra tunes

Now, I’m not sure if I’d swap them out or just change the Orings. Are they showing any issues?

A set of cheap bellowed uppipes and a KC Balanced Assembly (or KC Turbine with Riffraff Wheel) would be where I’d spend the extra money saved from not buying performance injectors.

Stock injectors is my vote too.

Something a lot dont mention, but its easier to find a stock injector (or parts otherwise) in a pinch as opposed to smeones hand built modified injectors....an important take away with staying stock. If you are not home and out with the fam dam and things go sideways, a stock motor is a blessing as you can usually get parts far easier.

A hydra will wake it up and help with fine tuning shift stratigies if an auto.

Replace your injector o-rings, get a quality tuner, and call it a day. Injectors may last another 250k+ miles.
