Delete Tuners
Edit... okay at times this forum drives me nuts... this has happened both on my phone and laptop...
I go to upload an image and it goes to 90% complete and freezes...
Anyways, I'm thinking you don't have enough posts yet to receive or send messages... how many you have? I'm on my phone.
I think I have 9 or 10 posts now including a couple threads started. It keeps saying once I hit 5 posts I’ll be completely unlocked to have all forum functions but it still won’t let me do PM’s 🙄
Pretty daring to take a 9 year old ford 6.7 from north to South America.
OP had good reason to be nervous about taking a ford 6.7 on the trip.
i took my 2919 f-459 from nyc to Florida and as soon as I arrived …sensor gremlins hit. Did t know it was a sensor gremlin at the time . Couldn’t get a ford repair appt for a few months ( guess there is a 6.7 break fix back log) so I started pulling parts to clean and inspect and replaced most of the main sensors. It took about three 10 hour days playing stomp the dummy with the truck and eventually found the problem.
trip back to nyc was uneventful.
dont know if i will ever take the truck out of state again.
certainly wont take it out of the Country.
Glorious and (used to be) free...
More on topic, I'm new to the 6.7 world with a 2019 MY. I am fully aware that most of the problems with these trucks comes from the emissions control systems and and am curious as to what I can do to delete mine for this MY.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Obviously haven’t really looked into this till I bought the truck last month but from what I’ve read; ez link was never an option for 2022 till very recently?
It seems like it’s overwhelming liked across multiple forums compared to some of the other options so it’s the front runner for me if it’s possible to be used on a ‘22.
A buddy at work keeps speaking highly of AMDP tunes that he has on his ‘19 but isn’t much help in explaining things
From what I gather ez link is just the hardware (one of a few options?) to get the tune from the tuner you chose onto the truck?

Shouldn't the recent Chevron decision address this?

That may have changed now if they finally cracked the encryption.
And yes, EZLynk is the most recommend tuner interface. It's a simple little box you plug into the OBD port and the use an app on a smart phone to do the tuning. Super easy.
The EZLynk is only the interface device though. It is useless with a tuning package from a tuner/rep for the tuning company. Hence.... AMDP. They write the codes for the tunes with all the adjustments and stuff...
Those tunes are then sent to you thru the cloud via the EZLynk that is registered to you and your VIN. No sharing of your device and/or tunes.
I highly recommend contacting Giovanni Aliperti at Xtreme Caliber Performance in Canada. He's a well known and respected guy on all the 6.7 groups and part of the AMDP team, not just a random 3dr party dealer.
He can get you all the tunes and hard parts you need for the job in a matter of days shipped to US. And if you need to contact him afterwards he'll be there.
EDIT - I guess we can't link to facebook profiles.. so you'll have to search for them...

Like I said, I am not knowledgeable in this. My friend deleted his older truck with this company and said they were great. He had it on the heavy tow tune, got and installed the muffler offered, and when I took a ride in it with him, was not loud at all and did not smoke much, if at all...
