4.6 vs 7.3

Looking for some opinions on reliability. I know they’re pretty different beasts, but I’m in the market for a new truck for general purposes - the frame on my 302 is too far gone. If they’re both still available once I get off work, I’m between a 97 F250 with a 7.3 @325k miles or an 04 F150 4.6?@158k miles. 7.3 has a new trans, 4.6 just had the trans and diff fluids done. If both have had regular oil changes, what am I looking at for longevity from each? The 4.6 is also $3k more expensive and may have more rust.

Of the two, if me, I'd go with the '04 with 4.6 gas ... depending on where/what/how bad is rusted.

It has the turbo, but no 4wd. Originally the lack of 4wd was a dealbreaker for me but I’m still considering it.
