2000 f250 7.3 to 4.6

I dont tow much and i like the mileage f my dads f150 but like the f250 body better its a regular cab long bed 2wd its about the same weight i was the ng maybe i could get the conversion wirings haness for it but not sure on trans

You need a complete engine, trans, wiring harness and PCM, rad and support, driveshaft, and probably a bunch more little things all from another 2000 F250 of the same wheelbase. The swap is possible but not worth it IMO.

Problem is they didnt put 4.6 in any f250 from any year but yeah i see your e250 has 4.6 hmmm

If your 7.3 is getting bad enough mileage for you to consider this swap, you will NOT get any better with a 4.6. The reason for the mileage is the F250 itself, not the engine.

Yeah the trucks both have 3.73 gears abou the same weight as dads f150

Your 2000 F250, is that a runner? A running, functioning vehicle?

If so, sell it.

Buy a truck with the engine you want.

The swap you are talking about and swaps similar to it have often been the first step towards the scrap yard for many vehicles.
