Need help with wiring for ignition on 82 E350 Jamboree 400 two barrel no spark issue
Please help I need help with either walking me through it or pics or both with my ignition wiring original wiring harness caught on fire and I'm bypassing the factory ignition key and using aftermarket one and my own wiring. My issue is it turns over but there's no spark it has a new ignition module a new coil new solenoid relay I have switched out the distributor to a different one mind you both of them came from Pick-n-Pull wrecking yards so don't know too much about those two but nothing different happens from either one of them being installed. The wiring I did following a diagram or a schematics that I found online that's supposed to be correct but my gut is telling me my issue is with the wiring I just don't know with what and where please help me help ASAP I live in my motorhome and I can't keep telling it around man keep getting harassed by cops. I mean I get it but I'm not one of those cooking kind of people that's out there on the streets by actually do work for a living when I have work I'm a handyman and jack of all trades there's not much out there I can't do unfortunately all my tools were stolen from me recently so I'm working with the bare minimum when it comes to doing things now which totally sucks. I'm very mechanically inclined been working on cars ever since I was a little kid normally I can always figure things out usually by myself but I'm just so stressed out that I just can't think straight and I can't figure it out and I just don't have the time to keep trying to keep researching and everything else please please help. Again my issue is there's no spark everything turns over and she turns over nice and strong I'm just not getting spark and I put my spark tester on the ignition coil wire going to the top of the distributor cap and not getting any spark there is power going to it and everything else just no spark.
Forgot to add that it also has a new starter. I think I'm going to go ahead and try doing the factory ignition and wiring again now that I kinda know little more about the wires to the ignition switch.

Can you post an image of the diagram you found online?
The coil looks new but have you double-checked the primary and secondary for resistance?
On your hand-drawn schematic it shows the green wire from the coil to the ign.module as 'Not connected". Why is this?
You need 12 volts on the + side of the coil.

It just looked like you didn't have anything wired to the neg. side of the coil. The original is green and you can't see a connection to the neg. on the pics.
I'm no expert on the older systems and all I can suggest is take a look at this link for checking out the system:

Good luck...

BigDogE80, I tried to reply earlier and I believe there may have been a problem with the forum because I couldn't reply or post pics.
econo93 posted some great information. Here is what I was going to post earlier. This is from a 1981 EVTM. You have a 1982 but this should be very similar if not the same diagram and information.
I know that you do not have time to get this EVTM right now but it contains all of this information I am shearing with you and much much more. Well worth the $15 and is tailored to your exact year model.
Good luck

Find yourself a "ford breakerless ignition tester" on Ebay for 40 bucks
Let that special tool pierce all the wires to the module, and tell you what's up with the no spark
That is the only way to test a Duraspark that works effectively IMO
Been oscilloscope testing on BMWs since 78
You can damn sure make it harder if you want to
