I have a 1989 F250 with a 5.0, trans code M, Axle code 29, 2wd that I have some questions. The trans has to be the Mazda but all charts says F250s had the ZF. The axle code is 29 but all the charts say 29 is a Ford rear end with 3.55 gears and 1991 only. What are the charts missing?
Identification codes cut from my 1988 Ford Service Manual:
Hi i have an 87 f250 302 4x4 4 speed manual, the axle code is 89 and the trans code is f, I'm trying to swap the trans and rear axle in my 89 bronco. My bronco has a 300i6 that was originally a zf5 truck and is 8 lug when I got it but I bent the rear axle.
According to the chart posted earlier Axle Code B9 is a semi-floating Sterling 10.25 with 3.55 gear ratio.. Trans Code F looks to be a T18 from this info at Gary's Garagemahal: Trans Codes
Sorry about that...the table I posted shows B9 not 89!

edit: Since yours is 89, that does not apply.

thank you, for the front what similarities does d50 ttb and the d44 ttb I want to put that rear axle in a bronco but I don't want 5lug in front and 8 in back. Can I get away with swapping hubs or do I need a hole axle?
