CCV reroute


So I did the CCV mod on my truck and I think I’m gonna have to put it back to stock and smokes way too much, is this a normal amount or what? Seems like too much. Im not happy 😃

That seemed like a lot.

I have never been a fan of the CCV vent mod. I don’t really see the point.

I just wanted to see it it would cleanup my Y pipe boots. But I’m going to put it back to stock. Can’t be smoking everyone out.

Build a DIY catch can and route it back to stock location.

I used 3" PVC piping with caps, two plastic threaded barbed fittings, drain valve and Brillo pads to fit inside the pipe/catch can, and boy let me tell you when my mill took a dump, I was catching some oil in there cant remember how much exactly but it was a lot in not many miles, maybe between 100-500 miles if I were to guess it was at least a cup full.

what do you mean MILL?

Less chance for backpressure. The stock setup doesn't really pull any vacuum.

The best way to do it, if you know how, is to route it properly into the exhaust and pull a vacuum with the exhaust.

Engine. Broken piston rings on cylinder #5 and #7.
