Is there a way to make the DRLs come on (once in drive) with the headlight switch in the OFF mode? I've searched and search but can't find an answer. I've been through all the ForScan setting but don't see it there. It just seems silly that the DRL don't always come on whether the headlight switch is in OFF or in Auto.
I think Canadian vehicles ALWAYS have to have DRLs on. So I'm thinking there must be a setting someplace.

Thanks.
Heck, I thought if you had DRL turned on in the settings, that they did work anytime the truck is in gear, even if the switch is off???
Of course I've never tested mine, never worried about it I guess.

Keeping the headlight switch in the off position is one requirement for receiving over-the-air updates to Sync 4. So I've been leaving it off (kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of thing). I usually keep it in the the Auto position and use to do so. When I discovered that the DRLs never come on if the switch is in the "off" position I wondered if there was some setting in ForScan.
Below is the info from my owners manual. Not sure which models have the VEHICLES WITH: DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL), keep I assume mine (KRU) has the configurable DRLs.
SWITCHING THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS ON AND OFF - VEHICLES WITH: CONFIGURABLE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS
Using the instrument cluster controls on the steering wheel, select Settings.
Select Vehicle.
Select Lighting.
Switch Daytime Running Lights on or off.
The daytime running lamps turn on when all of the following occur:
You switch the system on.
You switch your vehicle on.
The transmission is not in park (P) for vehicles with automatic transmissions or you release the parking brake for vehicles with manual transmissions.
The lighting control is in the autolamps position.
The headlamps are off.
Note: Other lighting control positions do not turn on the daytime running lamps.

Daytime running lamps are always on unless you switch on the headlamps or your vehicle is in park (P).
SWITCHING THE FRONT FOG LAMPS ON AND OFF (If Equipped)
The front fog lamp button is on the lighting control.
Press the button to switch the front fog lamps on or off.
Note: Only switch the front fog lamps on during reduced visibility.
Note: The brightness of the daytime running lamps may decrease when the front fog lamps are switched on.
Note: When the lighting control is in the autolamps position, you cannot switch the fog lamps on unless the headlamps are on.
