4x4 not working

Is SOTF( shift on the fly) lite coming on to tell you its in 4x4 (high or low) ?
on my truck , one of the front axle u joints looked and felt good, but was actually seizing inside, steering very stiff, and would not come back to strait on its own,
replaced BOTH ujoints and wola- steering fixed.
if SOTF lite isnt coming on you have an electrical supply problem to switch and 4x4 relays. Send message here if lite is or isnt coming on.

Yes light does come on. And the passenger u joint is shot. I ordered part Monday and just waiting for it to show up. I'm hoping this will fix the issue. I inspected the vacuum lines and they seem to look good. But if u joint don't fix problem then I'll go ahead and replace those too. I'm going to try jacking up one side today and see wheel spins, like what was previously mentioned on here...thanks for your input!!
