USB retrofitting

Wanting to add USB connectors to the rear doors, for those that have installed them what are you all using, want something that looks clean as if it came from the factory also want to retrofitting some on the front dash where the factory ones are as well.

I use these on the dash. They fit the factory 12v auxiliary port almost perfectly. Have 2 usb fast charging ports and a built in volt meter. The little slide down door will still slide down and cover it up. I suppose you could put them in rear door panels also. Or back of center console if you have one.

Similar to what Tpayne621 recommended, I run one of these. It varies slightly in that it has a push button power switch to turn the voltmeter on or off. My truck will sit for 3+ months during the winter and i wanted to minimize the DC draw. LED lights like the voltmeter has are miniscule, but every bit counts sometimes.

I believe @SkySkiJason has installed USB ports in the rear of trucks/Excursions before.

(2) of these for each row of seats in an Excursion I’m working on. I’ve just left all of the voltage LED’s turned on and no issues leaving the truck parked 7-10days.

The switch in center is for the ‘tag lights’ on the sides of the center console. These are wired to parking lights and can only be turned on when headlights are on. This all happened because I put the USB ports where the tag lights are and they prevented the cupholder from going in.....
