Tried to fire the truck up and the starter won't even click like it has dead batteries. This issue is similar to a vehicle that is stuck in between park and reverse.

Did notice the steering wheel doesn't go to the lock position when turning with the vehicle off and in park position
The gear position needle is off a bit and I've always had to push the shifter up a little to get it to go all the way to park..

Will the starter turn over if you disconnect the excite wire and put it to the positive battery post of the passenger battery? If that does turn the engine over, will it start if you put it in Neutral?
Did the excite wire and the truck did turn over. Didn't try it in neutral yet. The batteries may be dropping due to cycling the glow plugs multiple times.
Relieved it was cranking as normal. Previously, via key I couldn't get a click from the starter solenoid.
It's below freezing and batteries are less than 12v at the moment. Going to plug the block heater in and charge the batteries then continue troubleshooting. The gear indicator is a little more off then usual
Bad batteries again. This time they made it about 3 months past warranty.
Sorry for the stupid thread. When the batteries show 12+v I seem to think they are still good so I assume something is horribly wrong. This truck does crazy crap when it doesn't like it's batteries and it's never gradual. 11* outside and fired right up with fresh batteries.

Nope, always instantaneously! One slow crank and I drive straight to the Autozone for new batteries If I don't they'll be dead the next time I try to start it.
