Clutch control

Hello everyone, I realized that I don't have anything at all for the clutch control for my 61, can we find all of this as well as the supports (red arrows)? because on LMC I don't have the impression that they have a 61....

Whomever dismantled stuff to shoot primer knows where that stuff is, I'd contact them immediately. Good luck.

I finally found one of the supports!!! but not the other... On the other hand, can someone explain to me how the clutch works? I don't understand anything, the release rod pushes the fork or pulls it to release the clutch (A or B on the diagram)? and how does the mechanism work because there is no diaphragm spring in the mechanism? so how does it disengage the clutch disc? excuse my questions perhaps a little stupid but I have never worked too much on the clutch so I am discovering a little

For a general overview of how clutches work this is a good place to start.

When you press the clutch pedal, rod part 3 moves up causing part 1 to rotate. This pushes parts 15 toward the rear of the truck. Parts 15 press on the release lever (not shown). The release lever is connected to a pivot point on the bell housing and extends into the bellhousing. The release lever holds a release bearing. The release bearing presses on the fingers of the clutch pressure plate. This disengages the clutch.

The link in Post 10 shows a newer diaphragm style pressure plate. Clutches in the 1960's often have just three fingers with springs in the pressure plate.

Thank you so much !!! I'm not a complete idiot because that's what I thought 😁. In fact I saw a cable system which replaces the original control but I don't understand how the fork can be pushed with a cable??? Cable

I'm in the process of correcting the clutch set up in my '64 that had a mess behind the 390 that is now in it. I am making a z-bar unit that fits. Only one of the pivot brackets will work, on mine. For the frame bracket I am using a piece of 2"x 1/4" thick angle iron. I bought a pivot stud and bushing for a '67 and later truck, to complete the bracket. The z-bar cylinder is 1 1/4" x 1/8" tubing. I am making the arms from 1 3/4" x 1/4" thick flat steel.

That cable system says it is for a pull type of clutch fork only.
