I'm in the process of correcting the clutch set up in my '64 that had a mess behind the 390 that is now in it. I am making a z-bar unit that fits. Only one of the pivot brackets will work, on mine. For the frame bracket I am using a piece of 2"x 1/4" thick angle iron. I bought a pivot stud and bushing for a '67 and later truck, to complete the bracket. The z-bar cylinder is 1 1/4" x 1/8" tubing. I am making the arms from 1 3/4" x 1/4" thick flat steel.
I'll have to go through that... Or else I've also seen the hydraulic clutch solution, has anyone tried it yet? Hydraulic
I don't know if they are the same, that's what I need according to the manual shop and unfortunately I only have the support indicated by a red arrow, I'm missing everything else including the rod that goes at the pedal
This afternoon at lunch time I checked the truck once again and found another part tied up under the chassis!!! I miss more than the gearbox bell bracket!!
The original pivot bushings (4 halves total) would be like these. Lots of parts different than a newer 65-66 with 240/300 but things might interchange some.
C2TZ-7517-A/B - replaced 01A-7517 - also some of those available on eBay for a visual.
