Trans Issue

I have a 2022 F350 with 25,00 miles that shutters on the 1-2 shift towing, it also hesitates from the start most of the time towing or not. This common or do I have an issue?
BTW just received my recall notice for the missing sensor.

I have used LubeGard Platinum trans additive before in my truck... at 31450 miles, I drained out the the trans (also did the transfer case and used 2 oz with the XL12 fluid) and added 16 oz of the Platinum additive to the Mercon LV. Then at 67147 miles, added 5 oz to the Mercon LV... I believe I was almost out and wanted 2 oz for the transfer case, so 5 oz was what the transmission got... I didn't have shifting problems, I just read good things on the Lubegard so I used it. Never ordered more so the last R&R of the trans and transfer case at 91647 miles never got it... didn't notice any effects good or bad, but never had any problems since. Just FYI.

Looks like I need to order the additive for the stutter. Any fix on the hesitation, some times it's worse than others.

From the LubeGaurd site and from Ford MERCON® ULV. I'm still under warranty and don't want to mess that up.
For use with any specified ATF recommended by the car manufacturer, such as OEM types and
DEXRON®/MERCON® ATF’s. (Except Ford Type F ATF

Do your own homework before adding anything or not...

This is what their stuff has in it.... also gives a background on what was used back in the day in automotive lubricants...

yes, you DEFinitly do not want to use this in 40 to 60 year old ford transmissions that use type F atf fluid.

I believe in synthetics, last three super duties all used Rotella T6, just did the 2022 a couple days ago, wife's 2012 F150 5.0 the following day. I'm not an auto trans guy, never was and the last thing i want is a puke trans and Ford to say nope you have an unauthorized product in it. I know I can find someone that swears by every snake oil offered. I'm on this site as there are multi opinions and all on the vehicle I own & operate. Lots og help here and some great advise.

No worries all good... Their product is a synthetic product... an ester I believe... the next pan drop/transfer case fluid change I'm thinking I'll buy some Platinum to add in to the Mercon LV... I'm going out to either 35k miles or 40k miles this time. I'm going to take a sample when I drain and have the fluid analyzed at that time. That next change will be fourth drain and fill on my 6R140.

As to snake oil, yep... there are opinions on all of it. I've run K100D, an unauthorized fuel additive since my truck was almost new and believe the product helps me... the same with Max Mileage FBC. Snake oil to some, but not to me... all I do is provide info. Whatever folks choose to do with it is up to them... good luck with the trans issue.

Have you set an appointment to have Ford look at your issue under warranty?

^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^

I'm going to post this here as these are articles on ATF, the issues that automatic transmissions have had and continue to have...

https://www.lubegard.com/science-friction/

https://www.lubegard.com/viscosity-in-depth-review/ >>> they talk about Mercon ULV...

Just more info to use or not... hopefully you get your problem figured out because 25k miles is not a lot of miles to be having a trans issue... good luck.

No and I do have the recall notice for the missing sensor. Nearest dealers 80 miles one way, joys of small town America.
